The UFRGS Graduate Program in Chemistry holds two annual admission processes, with at least one intake each semester, through public notices, in order to fill the vacancies in its Doctorate Degree Program. Applicants are required to submit online all documents necessary to enter the Ph.D. selection process.

PPGQ holds its admission process out of UFRGS, out of state, and even abroad

The admission is based on:

1. Evaluation of the documentation sent by the candidate;

2. Academic background evaluation;

3. CV evaluation;

4. Research Project analysis. For this item, please verify with the advisor if he follows Resolutions 05/2019 and 09/2019;

5. Written exam composed of 3 questions of each concentration area (Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, and Analytical Chemistry), in a total of 12 questions. Candidates should choose 10 out of the 12 questions, to answer.

Academic background, CV, and Research Project evaluation will be used to classify admitted candidates and will be the criteria to fill out vacancies and scholarship distribution (this number varies at each intake).

All information regarding the selection process is posted on PPGQ’s webpage and social media.
