Research Projects

Prof. Adriano Lisboa Monteiro

The research focuses on homogeneous catalysis with a strong emphasis on metal-mediated synthetic methodologies for the construction of C-C bonds (cross-coupling reactions, carbonylation, hydrogenation and oligomerisation). Our main goals are:

- development of simple and efficient Pd and Ni-catalytic system operating at low catalyst loading and under mild conditions.
- design of new catalyst and ligands.
- catalyst recovering and reutilization.
- mechanistic studies.
- application in the synthesis of fine chemicals.
